Our wonderful ECE Amy Grbavec!
Amy has been an Early Childhood Educator since 1992. While attending the University of Victoria for her Child and Youth Care degree an opportunity to teach in China arose. A year later she returned and obtained her Special Needs certification and continued to work in the field ffor many years. She then took some time off from teaching to raise her 2 children, returning to teach at several of the VICPA preschools.
Amy believes in providing a safe and caring environment that encourages children's sense of wonderment and curiosity with the world around them.
ECEA and Inclusion Support Workers
OBPOP is happy to have an Assistant ECE in the classroom this year. Rebekkah has been an asset in facilitating the needs of our preschoolers. With an additional attentive adult present in the classroom, our children receive support and guidance when needed, and are surrounded by positive role models when independence is encouraged.
We are excited to have our Inclusion Support Workers who work alongside all of our children, but most importantly work with the children who require extra support in our classroom. It is an important part for all children's development to be able to experience a preschool environment, and with VIHA funded support workers, we are able to make this a possibility! The program brings rich diversity, and vitality to our classroom.
