Fundraising

Oak Bay Preschool is a charitable organization that relies on fundraising proceeds and grants for day-to-day operation, and to keep fees reasonable for families. A parent-run Fundraising Committee organizes fundraising initiatives.

Annual Christmas Tree Sale and Bake Sale

A staple fundraiser for the preschool! We sell locally grown Douglas Fir trees and the school parents all provide a baked good to sell by donation.

50/50 Raffle (New in 2025)

Join the Oak Bay Preschool's 50/50 Raffle Sale from January to mid-February. Half of the proceeds support preschool improvements, while the other half goes to the lucky winning ticket—don't miss your chance to win and give back!

Mario Labonte Mural

Generously donated by local artist Mario Labonte, the preschool has a beautiful mural with a west coast landscape, painted at the entryway of the school. As an ongoing fundraising project, parents can donate $50 to the school to have their child’s handprint become one of the flowers in the painting!

Cobs Bread Doughraiser Program

Simply mention “Oak Bay Co-op Preschool” when paying at the Oak Bay, Shelbourne, or Yates Street locations and Cobs will donate 5% of your purchase to our preschool!

Mabel's Labels

An awesome way to quickly tag your kids gear for summer camp, daycare, or school, Mabel’s Labels can be customized online with great themes and colours. We get 20% of sales made on our account!

Soap Exchange

Simply say you’d like to donate to Oak Bay Preschool, and we will receive 10% of what you spend!

We respectfully acknowledge that we are uninvited guests residing on the traditional territories of the coast Salish, belonging to the Lekwungen (Songhees, Esquimalt) and W̱SÁNEĆ communities. We would like to take a step in the direction of reconciliation by stating that our program believes in the importance of honouring every voice as well as the right for all to be heard and recognized. We strive to listen with compassion to everyone's story to become more informed, empathetic people. We are making it our commitment to gain more knowledge of these lands in which we reside and of their histories.

At Oak Bay Preschool, everyone is welcome, everyone is safe, and everyone is respected for who they are.
